THE NORTH FACE
Displayit Inc. has partnered with North Face to help update their retail stores and image that reflects its outdoor and sustainable brand. The was in Manhattan, an 8,000-sq.-ft. space that will serve as the model for updating the majority of The North Face’s existing locations by the end of 2024.
Our goal is to create a superior customer experience and to offer North Face high-quality work, sound communications and accountability. It is an honor to work with North Face and we will strive to help their customers and the community to connect with their world class brand.
Displayit has worked with Roark for years, developing fixture lines for retail sections all over the country. Recently the opportunity to create their first flagship location came. This first store was a small boutique in the popular 4th st. shopping district of Berkeley, Ca. The design captured the travel spirit of the brand, dubbing their shop the "Roark explorer's club", with an outdoorsy, adventurous theme. The cashwrap is the most striking piece, with a genuine stacked log facade and orange climbing rope handles.
Since the flagship store two more locations have opened, another store in Los Angeles and the largest location yet in San Diego.
Salt LIfe is a highly valued client and friend of Displayit. Ever since Displayit was approached to create their west coast flagship location in San Clemente, many more locations have been acquired and developed with their signature fun, eclectic look.
One of the most elaborate designs was the Huntington Beach location, the beautiful two-story space has a large wall mural with blue uplighting and an iconic "bait ball" chandelier, composed of 100s of iridescent acrylic fish. Other locations across the country feature fun signature elements such as the "buoy chandelier" that hangs above the cashwrap, and a fighting chair with fishing rods holding product to create a statement window display.
We couldn’t not show you our favorite pieces of Sun Diego – the Wave Wall & Nixon Shop-in-Shop. Both demanding their own levels of design and engineering, and both leaving the customer speechless.
The wave wall was developed to highlight the shoe section and carry it through to other sections of the store, unifying the space. Sun Diego invited Nixon to develop a shop-in-shop experience, and Displayit was only too happy to help. Showing Nixon’s palette of stark whites, powerful black, and concrete – Nixon’s product is elevated and separated within Sun Diego’s amazing space.
The Deckers HQ retail store in Goleta, CA is located on the Deckers campus. The retail store design is clean, the fixtures are unique and the overall execution of the store is stunning. Deckers has quite a few really cool brands under it’s umbrella such as Ugg, Teva, Sanuk, Mozo, Ahnu, Tsubo and Hoka One One. Each one of these brands has been given an ample amount of space to live in and custom fixtures to sit upon. The store is open not just for the employees of Deckers, but also to the general public.
Honma is a Japanese premium golf club brand that has been expanding its presence in the U.S. market. Much of Honma's product is custom and high end, so they asked Displayit to develop a line of retail fixtures, shop in shops, and their company store to reflect their quality and style. Honma appreciated Displayit’s millwork quality and attention to detail on design, engineering, buildwork, shipping, and install for many of the wonderful projects that we built for them.
bud & bloom
This project was one of the first dispensaries that Displayit had the opportunity to work on. Bud & Bloom wanted to create a premium experience for Orange Country customers focused on wellness. The high-end boutique feel was created with quaint copper touches, white marble countertops, and leather details. There were a number of unique challenges that we encountered and learned from with regard to the specialty of the industry. The custom cabinets and display cases have a specific system that keeps workflow smooth and product organized.
This decorative design created a warm and inviting environment, contrary to typical dispensaries found in the area, and was nominated for "Best Dispensary Atmosphere" in the country by "Dope" Magazine and recognized as one of the "Top 10 most beautiful dispensaries in the U.S." by Leafly.
